Using of Pythagoras Theorem In Construction

 


When we are studying in school and colleges we all think at least once  how this formula can use in our life 

one of the important formula in construction which we studied in our school days is 

"PYTHAGORAS THEOREM" ,

it used to find out diagonal of the triangle,the sum of square root of two sides is equal to another side 

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

How this formula used in construction site,when we start construction the first process is 

Footing marking as per floor plan drawing,in autocad we will show plot or place in rectangle by using tools but at how can we make plot rectangle or square,making square or rectangular means the width and length of the plot should be in 90 degree angle so the Pythagoras theorem is used to make plot in 90 degree angle.

                       First we can make bench mark with known point then mark others two points with  length and width measurements which showed in floor plan,joint the points using threads then mark 
3' (feet) toward length and 4'(feet) toward width then measure diagonal distance between that two points the distance should be 5'(feet) if it is not 5' adjust points by moving until we get 5' diagonal distance.

Why 3',4',5' just use this values in  formula you will know and this method is knows as

           3-4-5 Method.
